At Splash and Stone, we design and build pools, outdoor living spaces, and landscapes that elevate the way you live at home.
Founded in Powhatan in 1983 by David Prince Sr., our company began with humble roots, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to taking care of the people we serve. More than four decades later, that foundation remains at the heart of who we are. What started as a small local business has grown into multiple branches of construction and now into Splash & Stone, bringing our experience and craftsmanship to custom pools, spas, patios, and complete outdoor living spaces.
Today, David’s son, Dave Prince Jr., carries on his father’s legacy—combining the values the company was built on with a vision for its future. While we’ve grown considerably since 1983, we’re proud to remain a local, family-run business where relationships matter and every customer receives a personal touch.
Powhatan and the surrounding communities have supported our family for generations, and giving back to the community we call home is an important part of who we are. For us, it’s about more than building beautiful spaces—it’s about building lasting relationships, supporting our neighbors, and continuing a family legacy we’re proud to carry forward.

Our creations are designed to be timeless, to enhance lifestyles, and to last a lifetime. With this in mind, we are not always the best fit for your pool construction needs, and we understand that. As a precursor to any further conversations. We do not install vinyl liner or fiberglass pools. Our ONLY construction method is custom concrete, using shotcrete with plaster aggregate as the interior pool finish. To begin our relationship, we require a property survey. After you submit the contact form, you will receive an email with a link to a pre-design questionnaire. Please fill out the pre-design questionnaire with as much detail as possible; we read every one to determine if we are the right fit for the project.
